Maria Chiara Zanconi

Born in Turin on 06.03.1978

 

In October 2002, she graduated in law with honours at the University of Turin, with a thesis in criminal procedural law, supervising attorney Prof. Paolo Ferrua, with a final vote of 110/110, cum laude.

 

After her trainee experience, which she spent at the Claudio Maria Papotti Law firm in her home town of Turin and where she worked mainly on culpable crimes related to professional negligence in the medical environment, she moved to Milan.  From 2004 to 2006, she worked for the Gulotta Varischi Pino law firm, dealing mainly with crimes against the person.

 

Notably, she has participated in several trials of national importance, such as 'Le Bestie di Satana', and in the main cases of sexual abuse within the family and community.

 

She was admitted to the Milan Bar association on December 2005.

 

During 2006 she worked for a time in the Di Noia law firm and she completed her professional training in the Palazzo Law firm specializing in white collar crime.

 

In 2013 she founded the law firm Penalisti Associati Zanconi & Zingari and she is also the criminal legal adviser to Law firms with offices in both Italy and abroad.

 

She has always worked criminal defence law in both in an advisory and procedural capacity and she attends hearings on a daily basis over intentional crimes, sexual abuse, crimes against the person – even in an international context, offences for violation of the accident prevention act and white-collar crimes.

 

She has advised and acted in defence trials of national importance such as Arkeon, the trial regarding the shipwreck of Costa Concordia which is currently in progress, and she has given relevant support to foreign companies such as Lufthansa Technik.

 

She is authorized to give representation in the Juvenile Court and she is on the list of lawyers giving legal aid at the Luigi Sacco Hospital, Milan.

 

She gives training in occupational health and safety and in company administrative liability under the legislative decree:231/2001 With other members of the law firm and together with a consulting firm, she has participated in the drafting of some modules on organization and control.

 

She is a member of the supervisory body pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001.

 

She has been a speaker at numerous conferences and university masters in relation to the subjects she specializes in and she is author of several publications on criminal trial.
